QFuego-Patagonia

About

QFuego-Patagonia project development started in 2022 with initial support from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany with their Emerging Talent Initiative (ETI) funding. Currently we are supported by the University of Concepción, Chile, and the Geomountains Small Grant Program from the Mountain Research Initiative (MRI).

QFuego-Patagonia is constructed upon open-source software and webmap. All data within this package is either contributed by collaborators, sourced from state institutions, or extracted from various databases (e.g., Pangea), clearly delineated in the metadata or attribute table along with the original sources, which require proper citation.

Your feedback, ideas, or support to enhance this project are highly valued, as our singular objective is to enhance accessibility. Feel free to reach out via email for inquiries or assistance to contact@qfuego-patagonia.org

About the logo

The QFuego-Patagonia logo was created by David Farías-Barahona with the assistance of the designer Vicente Fernández, for which we are very thankful. We have retained the central idea of the magnifying glass from Quantarctica and QGreenland.
